In April 2025, HTEC-video completed the successful installation of its RB-TVG high-temperature camera system at Huaxi Special Steel’s VD (Vacuum Degassing) furnace. Developed in-house, the system is designed to provide operators with a clear, real-time view of furnace conditions, enhancing both safety and control during the steel refining process.

Purpose-built for vacuum refining applications, the RB-TVG camera is equipped to handle the extreme demands of the steelmaking environment. It offers strong resistance to molten metal splashes and electromagnetic interference, allowing it to perform reliably under harsh conditions. The system includes a specially engineered cooling and protection unit that enables the lens to extend into the furnace without risk, capturing continuous, high-definition imagery.

The image shown below was recorded live from the VD furnace using the RB-TVG system. It offers a detailed look at the ongoing refining process, illustrating the camera’s ability to operate in high-temperature, dynamic conditions with clarity and precision.
